Abstract
A novel method is proposed for dealing with the problems of saturation. The saturation characteristics of the main magnetic circuit are expressed in a simple analytical form so that plotting out the torque-speed curve by calculation becomes possible for an induction motor fed by a current source inverter. Both the maximum torque control and the maximum efficiency control, considering core loss, can be obtained analytically. The calculated results are shown to coincide with those obtained by experiments
