Abstract :
Based on a chaotic model we proposed previously (1996, 1998), a method for chaotic masking of signals in secure communications is established. As the model is described by a difference-differential equation, it can be viewed as a linear system with nonlinear delayed feedback. We inject a signal to be transmitted into the model equation as an input, and choose sum of the signal and the nonlinear part in the model as the transmitted signal, then the receiver will synchronize with the transmitter under drive of the transmitted signal. Thus the information signal can be recovered exactly
