Abstract :
DVD has become an increasingly popular medium on which to store video data. Concurrently, DVD piracy has also increased, bringing about the need for copy protection methods such as digital watermarking and copy control. Good copy protection alone does not stop DVD video piracy however. Piracy is particularly prevalent in parties pre-mass-distribution, prompting the focus of our method to be on implementing strong techniques of transaction tracking with emphasis on preventing insider attacks. We propose a system based on watermarking after encryption, thereby allowing transaction authentication and non-repudiation. We illustrate our approach using image content.
