Abstract
Two new algorithms for carrier frequency offset estimation with frequency selective channels are presented that use a periodic training sequence. The new estimators achieve mean-square-error (MSE) very similar to or lower than existing methods at all SNR, with greatest improvement at low SNR. This is achieved with similar or lower complexity. One of the methods is proven to achieve the Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) at high SNR.
