Abstract :
To study the stability of double-leg and thin-wall pier during the cantilever construction stage, a simple analysis model is established. Considering pier self-weight and unequal space of longitudinal stiffness brace, the stability coefficient calculation formula of each cantilever construction stage is deduced based on the principle of stationary potential energy. It is also pointed out the essential of stability analysis on such structure. The comparisons of the stability coefficient calculation formula between this paper and literature are presented. The reason for the different points between them are also given.
