  • Abstract
This paper presents the development of efficient simulation tools for rectangular waveguide band-pass filter design supporting the satellite communication systems which are typically operated in the frequency of C-Band (4.0-8.0 GHz). This developed simulation tools called CWFD (Chebychev Waveguide Filter Design) are created by GUI (Graphic User Interface) of MATLAB® software. The simple waveguide filters based on the theoretical principles of low-pass prototype of Chebychev approximation are designed. The waveguide filter is determined a center frequency at 5.5 GHz, with bandwidth of 600 MHz. Then, we optimize the waveguide filter parameters by CST Microwave Studio® for providing a prototype model that will be used in the invention and measurement in the future.
