Abstract :
A new wireless access system, called Infostations, has been proposed previously, for providing isolated pockets of high bandwidth connectivity for future data and messaging services. This paper address the problem of defining an efficient time division multiplexing (TDM) scheme for Infostations. The main focus is on suitable combinations of power control and modulation/transmission rate control, assuming an average power constraint and a bandwidth limitation
