Abstract :
Urban traffic infrastructures consume huge amounts of energy and resources in construction and operation phases, which have caused serious impacts on the environment. Under the guidance of sustainable development concept, a low-carbon urban traffic system should be established to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and high-carbon energy consumption. The author provides the structure of Life-cycle carbon emissions and measurement programs in urban traffic system, as to evaluate whether the urban traffic system low-carbon or not. The point introduced calculation model of carbon Emission in construction phase and a case study is given, and find that carbon emissions in construction phase major comes from building materials production process. The analysis results would offer valuable suggestions for reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Urban Traffic System.
