            Abstract : 
A pre aeration-SBR process was adopted in the treatment of sewage wastewater in Qingdao City. The amount of wastewater was 500t/d, with COD of 500.0mg/L, BOD5 of 235.8 mg/L, SS of 165.8 mg/L and NH4+-N of 60.5 mg/L on average. The average removal rates of these indexes are 92.3%, 95.6%, 92.8% and 86.0% respectively. The effluent concentrations of these indexes are 38.3 mg/L, 10.3 mg/L, 12.0 mg/L and 8.5 mg/L, which met the grade first B requirements of Discharge standard of pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant (GB18918- 2002). The cost was 0.57 Yuan per ton of wastewater. This process had the advantages of low land area, low cost, high effect and simple operation and so on.
