Abstract
A flavor-based object-oriented programming system (OOPs) has been used to implement the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Transport Protocol Class 1 (basic error recovery). Experiences with this approach, including simulations of the class 1 protocol, are reported. The methodology used to implement protocols using object-oriented programming is presented.<>
