Abstract :
The paper presents a three-phase power factor corrector circuit with two IGBTs as power switches working in the zero-current soft-switching (ZCS) condition. The inductor current is partly continuous and partly discontinuous. The current stress on the switches is low and the output DC voltage is much closer to the peak of the AC line voltage. The operation is explained and the simulation and experimental waveforms are presented. The efficiency of the converter is over 95% and the THD in the input current is around 8%
