Abstract :
In this paper, the switching strategy based on hysteresis current controllers for a three-phase to two-phase matrix converter based on two-leg configuration is presented. Comparing the actual output currents with the reference signals and digitizing the errors by hysteresis controllers caused to determine which of the phase voltages at input must be connected to each output ac loads. The advantages of this method are excellent dynamic response, low cost, small computational task and easy implementation. Moreover the presented control method can produce quadratue output currents with independently controllable amplitude and frequency. The matrix converter with the proposed control method has been simulated with PSCAD software. The simulation results confirm the validity of this method.
