Abstract
This paper deals with the interharmonics appearing in the adjustable speed drives. The theoretical analysis of interharmonics frequency in the drive is performed. The methods to eliminate the interharmonics are also discussed. The interharmonics appearing in the conventional AC/DC/AC converter and new method with matrix converter employed in the variable speed drives are analyzed. And the interharmonics values appearing in both the methods are compared.
