Abstract :
In this paper, the near-far resistance is derived for the multirate code division multiple access (CDMA) communications systems. Despite its superiority in other areas, it is shown that the near-far resistance performance is deteriorated in the multirate CDMA communications systems compared with that of the single-rate direct sequence CDMA.
