Abstract :
Digital control of power conditioning circuits for superconductive magnetic energy storage is presented. A system is used to model circuits which consist of 10-kVA solid-state converter circuits, an 8-H superconducting coil, and IBM-AT and Apple-MACII computers. The computers are used for control of real and reactive power flow, current sharing, and data acquisition and manipulation. Results of the successful control of charging and discharging the 8-H coil are presented.<>
