Abstract :
The authors summarize the present status and the advanced new conceptions of state-of-the-art power electronic conversion and control systems engineering which are particularly focused upon modernized technologies including new power semiconductor devices for high-frequency (HF) switching control, HF switching control-based power conversion circuits with HF link, and high-tech power supply system applications in consumer/industry, space/telecommunication, and other semiconductor-applied power electronics (SPE) engineering fields. The future trends and new conceptional prospects in next-generation SPE are discussed from a practical systems engineering point of view. Schematics and diagrams for a number of SPE applications are also presented.<>
