Abstract :
This paper presents a 3-D magnetohydrodynamic simulation of an initial magnetic flux compression using a multiwire cylindrical array in Z-θ-pinch configuration. The effects of on-axis magnetooptic probe on final axial magnetic field amplification are explored.
