  • Abstract
    In this paper, two approaches techniques for the estimation of the heaviness of traffic in WiMAX networks are presented. The first technique is based on statistical data processing using wavelets and it is used for analyzing the risk of saturation of each base station composing the considered wireless network. The second approach is based on the Long Range Dependence analysis performed using a wavelets based Hurst parameter estimator. Applying the two methods on real WiMAX data, we have obtained results that are in agreement.
