Abstract :
In this paper, a new-style insulator structure is presented against the erosion and aging phenomenon of composite insulators. The middle parts of the new-style insulators are composite insulators and the two terminals are porcelain insulators. The results of simulative calculation and structural optimization indicate that this new assembled structure of composite insulators and porcelain insulators installed with proper grading rings can furthest realize the uniformity of the electric field distribution on the terminals of insulators. It can also effectively inhabit corona and erosion of composite insulators and make full use of corona resistance and erosion resistance of porcelain insulators and pollution tolerance of composite insulators
