Abstract :
TELUS, Canadapsilas second largest telecommunication company, has embarked on an aggressive deployment program of remote DSLAM equipment in SAC/JWI cross-connect cabinets to provide broadband services such as high speed internet and TELUS TV services. With the offerings of broadband services on higher bandwidth, the distance between the DSLAM equipment and the customer becomes critical and should be as short as possible, preferably less than 1.4 km.
