Abstract :
Next generation transceiver operating with different standards necessitates the existence of a wide bandwidth and highly linear ADC to enable software defined radios (SDR). Several techniques dealing with the design and implementation of several ADC architectures to provide the stringent requirements of the wide-bandwidth transceivers are discussed. Works concerning the design of high-resolution pipelined and time-interleaved ADCs are presented. Methods to overcome the technology limitations are presented to achieve high linearity without compromising the low power consumption.
