Based on the requirement of transportation sustainable development idea urban transportation must not only meet the traffic demand but also accord with the restriction of resources So it is necessary to measure the impact of urban traffic activities on nature, in order to realize the urban transportation sustainable development. The paper comparatively analyzed on city traffic ecological footprint, and take Harbin for the example. The result show that, the ecological footprint consumption by private cars is the most, the consumption by taxis and institution vehicles is little, and the consumption by buses is the list. The ecological footprint consumption by private cars is as more as 5.7 times of that by buses.
