Abstract :
Chinese fir essential oil, which is some of the wood extractives, has been used as traditional Chinese medicine for a long time. Therefore, the chemical components from Chinese Fir wood were extracted with benzene/ethanol and identified by PyGC/MS after concentration in order to reveal utilization value of its pure natural medical resources. Relative content of each component was determined by area normalization. 49 compounds of the extractives were identified. The main constituents were .beta.-sitosterol (11.81%), ergosta-4, 6, 22-trien-3.beta.-ol (9.85%), condyfolan, 1-acetyl-11-methoxy- (6.64%), estradiol (5.8%), carbon dioxide (5.63%), ergostanol (2.48%), 9, 12-octadecadienoic acid (Z, Z)- (2.43%), 2, 3, 5, 6-tetrafluoroanisole (2.36%), hexadecanoic acid (2.33%), 28-nor-17.beta.(H)-hopane (2.3%), 2, 6-phenanthrenediol, 1, 2, 3, 4, 4a, 9, 10, 10a-octahydro-1, 1, 4a-trimethyl-7-(1-methylethyl%)- (2.29%), 4-hydroxy-2-methylacetophenone (2.27%), ergosta-4, 6, 22-trien-3.beta.-ol (2.26%), 4.alpha.-methylcholest-7-en-3-one (2.12%), brucine (2.01%), phenol, 2, 6-dimethoxy-(2%), oleic acid (1.93%), phenol, 2, 6-dimethoxy-4-(2-propenyl)- (1.83%), ergost-5-en-3-ol, (3.beta.)- (1.83%), etc. The benzene/ethanol extractives could be used as pure natural medical resources.
