Abstract :
A robust fuzzy logic based control system is proposed to control the speed of electrical servo drives in this paper. A novel speed controller is designed using the concept of fuzzy logic, which ensures robust speed control against parameter variations. A fuzzy logic control is implemented for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo drive. Heuristic knowledge is applied to define fuzzy membership functions and rules. Simulations results validate the robustness of the servo drive. The controller has better performance and robustness than conventional PI controller in the PMSM servo system.
