  • Abstract
    This paper proposes the concept of a plant growth promotion system, or plant factory that well controls light and electromagnetic radiation. Several technical issues with realizing the system are described. A method to evaluate plant growth on a non-contact basis is proposed and experimentally assessed. Its validity is confirmed. Some experimental results with electromagnetic radiation in the first trial are also described.
