Abstract :
This paper introduces the concept of life cycle cost (LCC) in detail, offer an economy evaluation method for planning and design of HVDC by using Life Cycle Cost (LCC) is proposed, to find the converging points of the economy and reliability. The life cycle cost was considered from the very beginning of designing and bidding period. The influence of different model of HVDC on the operation, maintenance, reliability, efficiency and availability of the unit was analyzed and the coming out will be used for decision making; Take optional design and typical design in the same life cycle comparison method to determine the optimal solutions . The basic principle of the evaluation method is to integrate the current financial assessment methods and to consider LCC as the benchmark for evaluation computation, which makes the method more scientific and comprehensive. This paper took optimizing policy of LCC on insulation design scheme on ±660 kV NingDong-ShanDong line for example, pointed out that it had a high value and a wide future of application in power industries, especially in project for power transmission and distribution.
