  • Abstract
    A way of derivation of approximate analytical expressions for calculation of fields at an emitter tip in a TFFE triode is described, when the emitter tip is in the plane of the gate electrode. Detailed comparison with computer calculations for wedge cathodes shows the high accuracy of obtained formulas.
