Abstract :
This paper reports on customer interruption cost (CIC) measurement in the commercial and industrial sectors. It accommodates the time-dependence of interruptions. It proposes a method of predicting the probability of such interruptions and of their cost. A method of scaling CIC is proposed for different sizes of customer. The result of the whole approach is the probabilistic financial impact assessment of interruptions, which provides an appropriate basis for decision-making.
