Abstract :
In this paper, a new BPR (Business Process Reengineering) which consists of three support system, internal environment support system, capability support system and resource investment support system, is developed. Based on this, a conceptual model is proposed to describe the relationship between BPR and its three support systems. The empirical studies were performed with the introduction of factor analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis which belongs to multivariate statistical analysis methods, and the statistical software SPSS13.0 is used for the proof of the relationship between the BPR support system and BPR. Our investigation results show that the three support systems all play positive roles in promoting the success of BPR, but their separate influence is different, Based on our quantitative empirical and theoretical investigations, the critical support elements of the support systems were obtained. Our investigation results in this paper can provide important supports to improve the BPR performance and to promote its application to industries in future.
