Abstract :
This paper reports the results of CFD analysis to design the cooling duct of LCD Projection TV. We have designed a cooling duct using FLUENT™ for LCD Projection TV. Flow characteristics of the duct are computed and verified with Stereo-PIV experimental results in normal condition. A flow rate and pattern of the proposed cooling duct are compared with a conventional type. We performed the calculation of the temperature of three polarizers in complex system. At the results, the temperature of proposed cooling duct decreased over 10°C than conventional type.
