  • Abstract
A model-based controller for SISO linear systems with time delay, nonminimum phase and open-loop unstability is presented. The controller, namely the shrunk pole controller (SPC), features a single tuning parameter and offset free performance in the presence of modelling errors. It is easy to understand and implement. The robustness can be improved by using a feedback filter. Several examples demonstrate the power of the controller. How the controller can be extended to MIMO systems is also discussed briefly
