Abstract :
Based on the characteristics of rural architecture in the region of Yinchuan and the particularity of local residents´ dressing as well as living in winter, the paper analyzes the influential factors of indoor thermal environment of rural architecture by in-situ tests, questionnaires and theoretical analysis, the paper suggests the indoor thermal environment index that the partitioned temperature control should be adopted according to the functions of room, meanwhile, the winter thermal comfort shouldn´t be below 16°C in the main rooms and 14°C in the secondary rooms. The index can be used as reference for the designs of energy saving, ecology and indoor thermal environment for rural architecture in northwestern areas.
