  • Abstract
    A detection system for enhancing the Bragg wavelength shift accuracy of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors based on LabVIEW is described. The phase spectrum method, widely used in time delay estimation in the fields of radar and sonar, is applied to improve the wavelength shift detection accuracy without the assumption of the spectrum shapes and interpolation operation. It is suitable for FBG sensors in the homogeneous measurand fields. The data processing is realized by calling the dynamic link library on the LabVIEW platform to achieve the estimation result rapidly. Experimental results show that the accuracy of the proposed method is higher and more stable than that of the standard methods like the spectrum correlation method.
