Abstract
Japanese language processing on Sony´s NEWS workstation is described. The workstation incorporates the Berkeley version of Unix, Sun Microsystems Inc.´s network file system (NFS), and the X window system developed at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The focus is on how Japanese language processing has been achieved with this system software.<>
