Abstract :
The authors consider the problem of finding a fixed stable finite-dimensional linear time-invariant (FDLTI) compensator which simultaneously stabilizes a given collection of FDLTI plants. It is shown that, under certain minimum phase and high-frequency gain assumptions, simultaneous stabilization is possible. Moreover, a simple computational scheme based on singular perturbation theory is proposed to synthesize the stabilizing compensator.<>
