Abstract :
In the process of some bridge construction, permanent protection or high degree of safety is applied to deal with the influence of pile group vertical bearing characteristic due to water scouring. With these methods, geohazard and risk of project can be avoided. However, mechanism is still no way of knowing. Therefore, pile group with 16 piles model tests have been tried and the vertical bearing capacity have been tested in two kinds of conditions on and not scouring. Besides, Q-s and shaft force distribution curves were analyzed in detail. And rules of load-transference, side friction force and tip resistance were obtained. Finally, the influence evaluation of pile group vertical bearing capacity due to water scouring came out to be used for reference for engineering designs.
