Abstract :
The existing Very Short Reach (VSR) protocol is mainly facing backbone net, its delay, power, density are not fit for board-to-board, chip-to-chip interconnection. Based on the VSR, an optical interconnect model which fits for chip-to-chip, board-to-board is introduced in this paper, simultaneously recur to the SERDES embedded into the FPGA, a single lane of the protocol is realized. When system clock is 100 MHz, serial speed is 2 Gbps, the results obtained from the validate board indicate the transmission is right.
