Abstract
In a proposed surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter construction a signal processing is carried out in two parallel acoustic channels. Due to a slanted configuration of fan-shaped interdigital transducers, a delay time difference between two components of the output signal depends on a signal frequency, while a filter delay time is constant. This offers 7-10 dB improvement of a stopband rejection without any frequency response flatness deterioration in the filter passband.<>
