Research on reform and development model for rural urbanization of Xiamen suburbs

Rural urbanization is a relief for the thirst for urban construction land in the course of existing urban expansion and, on the other hand, unavoidably results in the expropriation of massive farmers´ land, this will definitely shake the public stability and unity if the farmers´ legal rights are left unprotected, and only reasonably-designed reform and development model as well as establishment of long-acting mechanism for life guarantee of farmers involved could assure smooth urbanization. Through the design and analysis of reform and development model in the rural urbanization of Xiamen suburbs, this article brings out the design principles of the reform and development model, seeks for a final reform and development model that better meets with the requirements for human orientation and sustainable development and points out a relatively new way of research for the win-win development between the government and villagers involved.
