Abstract :
Contractor Prequalification plays an important role in the bidding process of construction projects. Both the employer and the potential bidder attach great importance to it and many methods of prequalification have been used. This work propounds a potential bidder evaluation system, which is more suitable to the situation of construction project bidding. Compared with Weight Grade Method, P-DEA is more improved in reliability, objectivity and soundness. The “Practical Frontier” given in the work can be deemed as a regional industry standard, which may become either the foundation of prequalification or a reference for the contractor to improve performance.
