Abstract :
We have successfully implemented a one-dimensional non-uniform FDTD algorithm that utilizes an unsplit anisotropic perfectly matched layer, and have used it to analyze a number of representative optical fiber waveguides. The algorithm is highly-efficient computationally, as well as versatile enough to be useful for analyzing a large class of axisymmetric optical fiber waveguides.
