Abstract :
POE is a study system of architectural environment, deriving from environmental psychology. This paper plans to evaluate the existing construction sites as well as its environment via a standardized and systematical approach. Focusing on consumers and their need, provide a solid foundation for future´s architectural designs through in-depth analysis on the previous impact of design decisions and operation of the building. Taking example of the Pedestrian Street in Hubin district, Hangzhou, the paper will analyze its space structure and the function to see whether these two factors cope well. According to the result, we would discuss the practical performance of public facilities in urban area, find the relationship between environment and human behave with the help of Behavior and Environment theory, thereby detecting some effective measures complying with the evaluation from public space behavior and making contribution to the optimization or reconstruction of public space.
