Abstract
The paper describes the design of a microcomputer controlled matrix converter for an induction motor drive system. Special emphasis is given to the current commutation eliminating the need for any capacitor-based clamp circuit in the steady state operation and during the shutdown. Simulation results and experimental results are presented
