Abstract :
The ability of GPS to estimate integrated precipitable water vapour (IPWV) and hence predict water vapour attenuation at zenith is proving to be a useful tool in the study of radiowave propagation at millimetre wavelengths. The GPS technique has the ability to operate in all weathers and with a high time resolution, thus allowing the effects of cloud and water vapour on attenuation to be examined simultaneously
