Abstract :
F53 fault alteration and fractured belt located in the left dam- abutment of a hydropower station is the main engineering geological problem of the project. Engineering geological properties of F53 fault alteration are analyzed in detail, combing with geological phenomena and test data. With the X ray diffraction analysis, the main mineral component of the fractured rock is identified. Based on the conventional triaxial compression testes, the stress-strain characteristic of F53 fault material is examined. In conjunction with site specific analyses, the pre-existing state of rock mass in F53 fault is expounded, which can offer reliable evidence to constructions of projects.
