Abstract
The segmentation of 2D images or polygonal using discrete geometry conducts most of the time at the appearance of artifacts along side the curves obtained after binarization. This is either of the variation of light, the sensor or its position relative to the light. The emergence of this noise leads us to make images of pre-treatment before use it. The algorithm for optimal polygonal approximation of the closed curve is generalized for opened curves and used as part of our work on the stereo images.
