Abstract :
This paper presents the design of an 802.11a WLAN transmitter for adaptive beam forming. A system study was conducted and an efficient architecture was proposed that provides a linearly controlled phase shifting range of 360 degrees. It is implemented in 0.25 μm CMOS technology, consumes 58 mA and has a phase shifting resolution of 10 degrees.
