Abstract
The paper presents some results from the evaluation of a large multi-sensor database of several spaceborne remote sensing systems. The data were acquired during a flood along the Oder river in 1997. The process of data evaluation, based on a fuzzy expert system, is described as well as the opportunities of generating time series for a detailed description of flood events. The investigated sensors are compared according to their accuracies and their general capabilities to map flood events. This work is sponsored by DLR (former DARA)
