Abstract :
With the growth of useful life, the asphalt pavement damage gradually. To maintain a good level of service, the expressway needs to be repaired and maintained for timely and reasonable. Expressway maintenance decision-making must be based on scientific evaluation of pavement quality. According to the current evaluation method , it will appear inconsistent with the actual situation. PQI score is high in the section of serious cracks. The damage characteristic of expressway is different from other grade highway, so we should establish a more targeted evaluation method. Based on PQI, we can adopt a multi-index evaluation system, add individual indicators to guide maintenance decision. Individual indicators are: single-lane rutting index; longitudinal crack rate; transverse crack density; deflection (deflection difference). The deflection difference of left and right wheel paths on driveway can be used to determine the severity of base course longitudinal crack.
