  • Abstract
    MUSIC algorithm can´t estimate the DOA of coherent signals, and traditional decorrelation methods based on array signal processing theory are not suitable for single acoustic vector hydrophone. The single acoustic vector hydrophone can be treated as a scalar sensor array. Based on array signal processing theory, the modified DOA estimation algorithm is constructed. The operation principles of this algorithm are describes in detail. We compare the resolution of the proposed algorithm with the high-resolution multiple signal classification (MUSIC) method. Simulations show that the proposed method performance is superior to MUSIC algorithm in the case of correlated sources signals. The simulations have proved the effectiveness of this new modified MUSIC algorithm.
